UWF Department of Music presents the University Singers and Runge Strings in Eternal Light
The University of West Florida Department of Music presents the University Singers and Runge Strings in “Eternal Light.” The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 17 at First United Methodist Church, Six E. Wright St., in downtown Pensacola.
The University of West Florida Department of Music presents the University Singers and Runge Strings in “Eternal Light.” The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 17 at First United Methodist Church, Six E. Wright St., in downtown Pensacola.
Continuing the trend of presenting innovative concert programming, Dr. Peter Steenblik and Dr. Leonid Yanovskiy will conduct the ensembles through a selection of works featuring Morten Lauridsen’s exquisite “Lux Aeterna.” Other featured works include Bach’s “Violin Concerto No. 2,” Dupré’s “Symphonie Passion” and Elton John’s “Circle of Life.”
Featured soloists will include organist Christopher Powell, violinist Molly Hollingsworth and vocalists Dr. Sheila Dunn and Anna Farley.
