Healthier Argo Nation: COVID-19 Vaccination Information and UWF Protocols

As of today, April 5, all Florida residents age 18 or older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Floridians are encouraged to pre-register at www.myvaccine.fl.gov. Once pre-registered, they will be contacted when the vaccine is available in their area. Floridians can also call the vaccine pre-registration phone number for their county, listed here.

Baptist Health Care is offering vaccines starting April 6 at Baptist Medical Park – Nine Mile Road. UWF students, even those who hold residency in other states, but are in Pensacola to attend UWF, may make appointments for the vaccine.

UWF COVID-19 Protocols
The CDC is continuing to gather more information on what fully vaccinated individuals can do and what precautions they should continue to take. UWF COVID-19 guidelines and protocols remain in effect for all employees and students, regardless if you have been vaccinated.

When on campus or at a UWF location, all employees and students must continue following the below UWF COVID-19 Protocols:

  • Complete the Daily COVID-19 Pre-screening – Employees must complete the daily pre-screening every working day regardless of remote or on-site, prior to visiting campus. Students must complete the pre-screening on a daily basis prior to visiting campus or leaving their residence hall room.
  • Wear a face covering – When on campus or at a UWF location, a disposable or cloth face covering is required in all shared indoor spaces, as well as outdoor areas where social distancing is not possible.
  • Social distancing – When on campus or at a UWF location, practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of six feet from others when possible.
