Argo Nation Vaccination Day

In partnership with the Florida Department of Health, the University of West Florida is hosting a Argo Nation Vaccination Day on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the UWF Field House (Building 54) on the Pensacola campus.

The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine will be administered on Argo Nation Vaccination Day, free of charge, and is only available to students, faculty and staff.  

Non-Florida resident UWF students may participate in Argo Nation Vaccination Day. Please ensure you bring your Nautilus ID to show your current enrollment at UWF. 

REGISTRATION: Vaccines are available by appointment only and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please register by Monday, April 26, 2021 using the Argo Nation Vaccination Day appointment calendar. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment. Florida Residents must bring a valid form of picture identification and a completed COVID-19 Screening and Consent form. Non-Florida residents must bring their UWF Nautilus Card and a completed COVID-19 Screening and Consent form

This vaccine requires a second dose 28 days following the first dose. UWF will host a Second Dose Day on Wednesday, May 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the UWF Field House. Your appointment time will automatically be the same time that you selected for the first dose on April 28. 

The UWF community is strongly encouraged, but not required, to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

What items do I need to bring for Vaccination Day? 

Florida Residents must bring a valid form of picture identification and a completed COVID-19 Screening and Consent form. Non-Florida residents must bring their UWF Nautilus Card and a completed COVID-19 Screening and Consent form

Who is eligible to receive the vaccine at Argo Nation Vaccination Day?

Only current UWF students, faculty and staff may receive the vaccine. 

How can non-Florida resident students receive the vaccine?

Non-Florida resident UWF students may participate in Argo Nation Vaccination Day. Please ensure you bring your UWF Nautilus Card to show your current enrollment in the University. 

How old do I need to be to receive a vaccination?

You must be 18 or older to receive the Moderna vaccination on Vaccination Day. 

How will the second vaccination time work?

The second vaccination shot is scheduled for May 26. Your appointment will be the same time you selected for the first dose on April 28. For example, if you have a 2 p.m. appointment on April 28, you will automatically have a 2 p.m. appointment on May 26. 

What should I do if there are no appointments available?

When on campus or at a UWF location, all employees and students must continue following the below UWF COVID-19 Protocols: 

    • Complete the Daily COVID-19 Pre-screening – Employees must complete the daily pre-screening every working day regardless of remote or on-site, prior to visiting campus. Students must complete the pre-screening on a daily basis prior to visiting campus or leaving their residence hall room.
    • Wear a face coveringWhen on campus or at a UWF location, a disposable or cloth face covering is required in all shared indoor spaces, as well as outdoor areas where social distancing is not possible.
  • Social distancing – When on campus or at a UWF location, practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of six feet from others when possible.
