As you navigate through the first week of all remote courses, we want to provide a few resources to help make the transition as seamless as possible. We understand these changes have broad impacts and present challenges for all of us. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Stay Connected and Maintain Your Routine

The best way to be successful in online courses is staying connected with your instructor. Follow your typical morning routine, as you normally would with on-campus courses. Build a support system of family and friends to encourage you to keep up with lectures and assignments.

Take Advantage of Online Learning Tools

UWF has created a page that allows students to better understand online learning.

You can also search for other resources to help you be a better online student. Here are two examples:

If you need any additional support, please reach out to the Center for Academic Success at success@uwf.edu.

Laptop Checkouts

As a part of our efforts to make the transition to remote learning as smooth and seamless as possible for students, the UWF John C. Pace Library is providing laptops for students who do not have a computer to check out for the entire Spring 2020 semester.

These laptops will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis for those who fill out this form as soon as possible: https://bit.ly/3aVcqlC

This offer is only available to students at this time.

Internet Access

Numerous service providers are providing free internet service for a limited amount of time to customers who qualify, such as Cox, Comcast and Spectrum. Please check for other providers offering free access in your area. If you have any issues with internet access, please contact your instructors and ask them to help you develop a plan of action.
