UWF included in list of ‘Best Southeastern Colleges’ by Princeton Review

The University of West Florida (UWF) was named a Best Southeastern College by The Princeton Review for the 10th consecutive year, based on results from the company’s 2013 Best Colleges survey.

UWF was one of 136 institutions receiving the Best in Southeast Designation. The company designated 222 colleges in the Northeast, 122 in the West and 153 in the Midwest on its 2013 Best Colleges: Region by Region lists.

The Princeton Review surveys students at selected institutions on several factors, ranging from the accessibility of professors, to the number of hours they spend studying outside of the classroom, to the quality of the food on campus. Comments from the surveyed students are included in the school profiles on The Princeton Review website, www.princetonreview.com.

The 633 colleges included in the 2013 Best Colleges: Region by Region list are not ranked hierarchically or in various categories.

The Princeton Review is known for its test prep courses, education services and books. It has conducted the Best Colleges survey since 1992, when the company first published its annual guide. It is the only one that offers college rankings based on student ratings of the schools.
