UWF history professor to lead summer tour in Central Europe

University of West Florida history professor Daniel E. Miller will lead a tour of Central Europe from June 13-29. UWF students, families, friends and individuals of any age are welcome to join the tour.

Miller and a Prague-based guide will lead participants through several Central European locations: Berlin and Dresden, Germany; the Saxon-Switzerland National Park in Germany and the Bohemian-Switzerland National Park in the Czech Republic; Terezin Concentration Camp and Prague in the Czech Republic; Vienna, Austria; Bratislava, Slovakia; and Budapest, Hungary.

In addition to a guided tour of each location featuring an explanation of its historical and cultural background, participants will also have time to explore museums, cafes, shops and city streets on their own. The group will spend three nights in the national parks on the Czech-German border, taking a break from urban life and hiking the fabled forest surrounding the Elbe River.

The basic cost of the tour is $2,775 plus single supplement, if applicable, and air fare. Participants may earn undergraduate or graduate credits during the tour at additional cost.
