UWF history professor to lead European tour

University of West Florida History Professor Daniel E. Miller will lead a tour of several key World War II locations through three European countries from May 8-23, 2014. This opportunity is open to the general public, as well as UWF students.

The trip will include tours of Paris, Normandy Beaches, and Amiens in France; Aachen, Cologne, Berlin, and Dresden in Germany; and Prague, Czech Republic. Miller and a Prague-based guide will provide background on the history of the Second World War and other cultural highlights during numerous guided tours.

Participants also will have time to explore the museums, cafés, shops, and city streets on their own.  In addition to the significant sights related to World War II, they will also have an opportunity to spend several days enjoying spring in Paris, study five medieval cathedrals, and visit museums and other cultural venues.

The basic cost of the tour is $3,495 plus single supplement, if applicable, and air fare.
Participants may earn undergraduate or graduate credits during the tour at additional cost.
