UWF Historic Trust museums to participate in Museum Store Sunday campaign

The University of West Florida Historic Trust announces its T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Museum, Pensacola Children’s Museum and Pensacola Museum of Art will participate in the Museum Store Association’s inaugural international shopping campaign Museum Store Sunday on Nov. 26. More than 500 museums from around the world will offer special promotions on Museum Store Sunday.

The first 15 customers at each of the three UWF Historic Trust museums on Museum Store Sunday will receive a free gift with purchase. Patrons will find unique Pensacola and mission specific gifts filled with inspirational and educational value including apparel, artwork, books, jewelry, children’s games and activity books, home accessories and more. Proceeds from purchases at the museum stores help support the missions and programming of the museums.

“The general public already loves shopping in museum stores, because they know they can find something different,” said Julie Steiner, president of the MSA Board of Directors and Director of Retail Operations at the Barnes Foundation. “Museum Store Sunday gives people a chance to give back to the community through local non-profit museums, find unique holiday gifts and enjoy an entertaining and educational experience at their favorite museums, all at the same time.”

The museum stores at the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Museum, 330 S. Jefferson Street; The Pensacola Children’s Museum, 115 E Zaragoza Street; and the Pensacola Museum of Art, 407 S. Jefferson Street, will be open on Museum Store Sunday, Nov. 26, from noon until 4 p.m. Museum store patrons are not required to purchase a ticket to the museum.
