UWF encourages alumni and students to Spring into Action
University of West Florida (UWF) Alumni Relations will host Spring into Action on March 22-23, 2013 at the Pensacola campus. The goal of the two-part event, featuring Network-a-Thon and the Professional Development Symposium, is to connect UWF alumni with current students to facilitate mentoring and giving opportunities.
Network-a-Thon will be held on March 22 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the UWF Conference Center. The peer-to-peer fundraising program provides an opportunity for alumni to make professional connections, while supporting UWF scholarships and departments. Registered guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and several engaging breakout sessions, including a roundtable discussion with local business leaders.
The Professional Development Symposium will be held on March 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the UWF Commons Auditorium. The event will include breakout sessions, opportunities for UWF alumni to mentor students and a networking luncheon, featuring keynote speaker Jay Patel, chairman and CEO of LHS Companies and UWF Board of Trustee.
