University of West Florida issues Call to Artists for 2013 Festival on the Green Fine Arts Show

The University of West Florida is calling all artists to submit their work to the 2013 Festival on the Green Fine Arts Show, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 5-6 at the main campus in Pensacola.

The juried fine arts and fine crafts show has space for up to 35 artists. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 18, and notifications will be mailed on approximately Feb. 22. The judging will begin at the festival on Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m., followed by a reception and awards presentation at 5:30 p.m. in the UWF Conference Center lobby, Building 22.

The 13th annual Festival on the Green, a well-known UWF tradition, draws crowds of up to 20,000 people of all ages as they celebrate Pensacola’s rich history, many aspects of university life and its diverse culture.

The festival will feature 20 different venues, including a Motorcycle Enthusiast Show; Time Portals to the Past and Future; an International Village; NCAA baseball, softball and tennis matches; a Children’s Fair; a Medieval Village; a Student Life Expo; Festival Dining and more.

The Green Trading Post, a venue for environmentally friendly products and demonstrations, will be one of the new features at this year’s festival. It will be available to festival-goers on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
