First and Second Vaccine Doses Available Argo Nation Vaccination Day

In partnership with the Florida Department of Health, the University of West Florida will now administer first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, May 26. If you are getting your first dose, you will need to visit the FDOH or a participating pharmacy to receive your second vaccine. The University will not be hosting another vaccine event. Argos who received their first vaccine on April 28 will receive their second Moderna vaccine on May 26.

In partnership with the Florida Department of Health, the University of West Florida will now administer first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, May 26. If you are getting your first dose, you will need to visit the FDOH or a participating pharmacy to receive your second vaccine. The University will not be hosting another vaccine event. Argos who received their first vaccine on April 28 will receive their second Moderna vaccine on May 26. 

Administration of vaccines will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Health, Leisure and Sports Facility (Building 72, Room 130). You may enter through the main entrance of HLS or through the back entrance in Lot E. Vaccinations are available for all UWF students, faculty, staff and their families, ages 18 and older. 

REGISTRATION: Everyone participating must sign up for an appointment time slot on May 26, 2021. Please sign up by Monday, May 24 using the Argo Nation vaccination appointment calendar.

For participants receiving their second dose, you must bring your vaccination card to your appointment. Florida Residents must bring a valid form of picture identification and a completed COVID-19 Screening and Consent form. Non-Florida residents must bring their UWF Nautilus Card and a completed COVID-19 Screening and Consent form

The UWF community is strongly encouraged, but not required, to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Second Dose Day will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Health, Leisure and Sports Facility (Building 72, Room 130). You may enter through the main entrance of HLS or through the back entrance in Lot E.

REGISTRATION: Originally, the second vaccine appointment was planned to be at the same time as the first appointment. However, the Department of Health has asked that those participating must sign up for a new appointment time slot for the second dose day on May 26, 2021. Please sign up by Monday, May 24 using the Argo Nation Second Dose Day appointment calendar.
