“As reports of questionable practices by industry become an almost daily news item, it is important that organizations such as Rotary International and Colleges of Business promote ethics and recognize individuals who apply outstanding ethical standards in the conduct of their businesses,” said Ed Ranelli, dean of the UWF College of Business.

Nominees will be selected for the awards based on the following criteria: adherence to high ethical standards of honesty, integrity and consistency in dealing with employees, contractors and customers, while positively enhancing the economic well-being of the firm’s stakeholders and providing jobs, opportunities and profits; participation in activities that are beneficial to the community beyond the provision of economic benefits; and service as a leader or innovator in the firm’s business sector. Those nominated for the award should utilize the ethical standards established by the “Rotary Four Way Test” that asks “Is it the truth?” “Is it fair to all concerned?” “Will it build goodwill and better friendship?” and “Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”

Nomination forms can be picked up at any Rotary Club in Escambia County or Santa Rosa County or at the UWF College of Business located at 11000 University Parkway, Building 76, Room 230. Forms may also be printed from the College of Business Web page at uwf.edu/cob. Completed nomination forms should be sent to: Dean Ed Ranelli, 11000 University Parkway, Pensacola, Fla., 32514.

For more information, contact Ed Ranelli at (850) 474-2348 or Ted Kirchharr, co-chair, at (850) 266-6192.
