Dr. Bob F. Yeager edited the book "Approaches to Teaching the Poetry of John Gower," published Aug. 1, 2011. Dr. Yeager has published 17 books total. This latest work is part of the series "Approaches to Teaching the World's Great Literary Masterpieces," produced by the Modern Language Association of America. It contains essays from professors in the U.S., Canada and Great Britain providing background material and blueprints for how to teach the poetry of John Gower, a 14th-century English poet. Gower died in 1408. He was a friend and fellow of Geoffrey Chaucer, and it is believed they read and critqued each other's poetry.
