14 Ideas for 2K14 seminar hosted by UWF College of Business

The University of West Florida College of Business Executive Mentor Program will host Michael Mika, on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. for his presentation titled 2K14 Digital Disruption, Tips for Living with the ‘New Normal.’ The event will take place at the UWF College of Business Education Center, Building 76A, Room 101.

Mika, Digital Marketing Consultant for 2ManyApps Media and Google Exchange Agency, is an interactive media project strategist. He advises clients on ways to create the right mobile experience first and have the desktop catch up later. Mika is well known for his successful desktop launching project, where his team built applications for reading news that later transformed newspapers to digital environments.

This workshop features a significant amount of interactivity, as attendees are encouraged to bring a wireless device to “play” on during the session, including a smartphone, iPad or laptop.

This event is free and open to all members of the Executive Mentor Program, UWF students and the public. To RSVP, contact Rachel Hedrick with the UWF College of Business at 850.474.3239 or rhedrick@uwf.edu.

The UWF College of Business Executive Mentor Program matches students from the University with influential community business leaders who share their personal and professional experience, knowledge and skills. The one-on-one mentor relationship allows for individual attention to the student mentees’ career aspirations, professional development and networking needs. The access to local business leaders provides students with an inside track for full-time, post-graduate employment.
