UWF Military and Veterans Resource Center invites special guests to open house barbecue
WHAT: The University of West Florida Military and Veterans Resource Center will host a barbecue to welcome students, faculty and staff back to campus for the fall semester and provide campus community members the opportunity to learn more about the MVRC and VetSuccess on Campus resources and benefits.
DETAILS: Invitees include staff from Rep. Jeff Miller’s office, the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 566, Naval Air Station Pensacola and the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System. The event will also include a One-Blood Bloodmobile, accepting blood donations; a Vet Center Mobile Van for counseling services, readjustment counseling and e-benefits; and representatives from the Panhandle Warrior Partnership to speak with veterans and families. Food is provided by veteran-friendly sponsors Texas Roadhouse and Waffle House.
