UWF Singers present “Moments: A Concert”

The University of West Florida’s Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present the UWF Singers along with the Concert Choir in “Moments: A Concert.” The performance will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rolfs Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the UWF Pensacola campus.

The concert will showcase the collective and individual musicianship of the UWF Singers and Concert Choir and will include music from such films as “Yentl” and “The Color Purple.”  In addition, it will feature some of choral music’s greatest moments, including Rachmaninoff’s “Bogoroditse Devo” and Antonio Vivalid’s “Laudamus Te.”  The program will also include more modern choral masterpieces, such as Manhattan Transfer’s “Operator”; Eric Whitacre’s “Cloudburst”;  and works by Sarah Quartel, Mia Makaroff, Alexandra Olsovsky and the crowd-favorite composer, Anonymous.

This event is free and open to the public but tickets are required. For tickets or more information, visit uwf.edu/cfpa or call the CFPA box office at 850.857.6285.
