UWF Notice: Monitoring Severe Weather

University officials are closely monitoring the severe weather potential that is forecast for tonight, Jan. 24 through Wednesday, Jan. 25 morning in Northwest Florida. All University of West Florida locations remain open at this time. If conditions change, the University will update the campus community.

The upcoming severe weather has the potential for strong storms with damaging winds up to 70 mph and tornadoes, rip currents and minor coastal flooding. The Northwest Florida area is projected to see the greatest impact between 2 – 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25. Please use your best judgment in regards to traveling during the severe weather.

To ensure you receive future University communications, confirm that your contact information is up-to-date in the University’s communication system, “Mobile Alert.” Log in to my.uwf.edu and search “Mobile Alert” to update and add contact information.
