UWF Dr. Grier Williams School of Music presents the Percussion & Wind Ensembles

The UWF Dr. Grier Williams School of Music presents the Percussion & Wind Ensembles on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in Rolfs Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the UWF Pensacola campus.

The performance will feature the percussion studio and Woodwind studios along with their respective ensembles beginning with Flute Choir, performing works by J.S. Bach, Grant Horsley, and more. Next, the Saxophone Ensemble will perform “Quintette” by Jerome Savari and “Diffusion” for Saxophone Quartet by Gordon Goodwin.  Finishing the program is the Percussion Ensemble performing selections by Gustav Holst, Brian Nozny and featuring Gavin Fisher on snare in Andrea Venet’s “KIBO.” The program will close with the beautifully energetic “Starfall” by James Vilseck.
