UWF Dr. Grier Williams School of Music presents Dr. Hedi Salanki-Rubardt, harpsichord and Scott Kluksdahl, cello

The University of West Florida Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present its Music Hall Artist Series with Dr. Hedi Salanki-Rubardt and Scott Kluksdahl, cellist CD Release on Monday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be held in the Rolfs Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82, on the Pensacola campus.

Cellist Scott Kluksdahl and harpsichordist Hedi Salanki present this new release featuring the music of Neapolitan master Giulio de Ruvo. Kluksdahl serves as professor of cello at the University of South Florida, where he has been a faculty member since 1991. He is a designated Theodore and Venette Askounes-Ashford Distinguished Scholar and has presented master classes in such institutions as Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, Boston Conservatory, Northwestern University and San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He teaches summers at the Brancaleoni International and the ARIA International Summer Festivals, as well as at the Cello Seminar at the Brown Farm in Salem, New York. Salanki-Rubardt, Distinguished University Professor and director of piano and chamber music, teaches piano and harpsichord performance, keyboard interpretation, musical structure and style, and chamber music. She is also recognized as a Yamaha Artist. Salanki-Rubardt has gained worldwide recognition for her diverse repertoire of solo and chamber music for the piano and harpsichord. Her playing has been distinguished by its naturalness, grace and a feeling of flow.

This is the first time that Centaur Records has released a CD that was recorded in our own Rolfs Music Hall. The CD is available from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, eBay, Spotify, Walmart and many more. 

Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors and military, $14 for UWF faculty and staff and non-UWF students and $7 for high school students.
