UWF Department of Music presents Traditions of Song

The University of West Florida Department of Music presents the UWF Singers, Chamber Choir and Concert Choir in “Traditions of Song.” The performance will take place on Monday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82.

The University of West Florida Department of Music presents the UWF Singers, Chamber Choir and Concert Choir in “Traditions of Song.” The performance will take place on Monday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82.

Under the direction of Dr. Peter Steenblik, the choral ensembles will present a concert highlighting a variety of traditions and cultures in which music plays an integral role such as the Caribbean Islands, Brazil, American Sacred Harp, Italian Renaissance, Sephardic & Ashkenazic Judaism, German Romantic Period and more. Daniel Thomas will accompany the ensembles on the piano. Professor Richard Glaze will make a guest appearance performing on the clarinet.
