UWF Department of Music presents Spring 2019 chamber music recitals

The University of West Florida Department of Music will present an afternoon of chamber music on Feb. 6, Mar. 6 and Apr. 3 at noon at Old Christ Church, 405 South Adams St., in Historic Pensacola.

Wednesday, Feb. 6: Noon 

Members of the Chamber Music class will perform a wide variety of chamber music repertoire, featuring many different instruments and groups. They will play pieces written for piano, harpsichord, viola, trumpet and trombone. The repertoire will also include vocal duets and opera arias and will feature works by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Rachmaninoff and others.

Wednesday, Mar. 6: Noon – “Spring Celebration”

The Chamber Music class presents music written for piano, voice, strings and brass instruments. As always, they will also perform opera arias, duets and Romantic songs. The program features work by Bach, Handel, Schubert, Schumann, Mozart and others.

Wednesday, Apr. 3: Noon

The Chamber Music class celebrates the end of the semester with happy melodies, exciting ensemble pieces and fun-loving performers. They will perform music by Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, Handle, Grieg and others. The audience is invited to join the students for a sing-along at the end of the concert.
