University of West Florida Foundation announces 2012-2013 Board of Directors
The University of West Florida announces its 2012-2013 Board of Directors, serving from July 1 until June 30, 2013.
The University of West Florida announces its 2012-2013 Board of Directors, serving from July 1 until June 30, 2013.
The new directors beginning their terms are: Keldrick Avehart, vice president of UWF Student Government Association; David Hightower, founder and owner of Hightower Law Firm; Dan McMillan, managing trustee of the McMillan Trust; John Platt, UWF professor and vice president of UWF Faculty Senate; Luke van Blaricom, senior assistant director of undergraduate admissions at University of Central Florida and president of UWF Alumni Association; Melinda Webb-Schwartz, vice president and treasurer, Webb Electric Company of Florida, Inc.; Randy Williams, retired, Sacred Heart Health System and former director of development at University of West Florida.
The 2012-2013 officers are: C. Ray Jones, president; John Hutchinson, vice president; Richard Peterson, secretary; Wayne Williams, treasurer; Patricia Denkler, immediate past president.
Returning members of the board include: Laverne Baker, Judy Bense, Dave Cleveland, Doug Dobson, Jim Donatelli, Rick Fountain, Alan Gieseman, Tim Haag, Brian Haugen, Dennis Larry, Steve Riggs, Debbie Ritchie, Richard Sanfilippo, Gordon Sprague and Brian Wyer.
Retiring directors are: Michelle Anchors, Caroline Hartnett, Cora Merritt, Judy Byrne Riley, Casey Rodgers, Brett Shaw and Pat Wentz.
The UWF Foundation Board of Directors supports the University of West Florida’s mission and programs by encouraging private gifts and through the financial oversight of the Foundation’s investments and annual budget.
