“A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” follows Monty Navarro, a charming yet impoverished young man who discovers that he is ninth in line to inherit an earldom and a vast family fortune after the passing of his mother. With slim chances of outliving those ahead of him in succession, Monty takes matters into his own hands while navigating romantic entanglements with the honorable Phoebe and the spirited Sibella. Based on the 1907 novel “Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal” by Roy Horniman, this four-time Tony Award-winning musical delivers a clever mix of murder, wit and laughter.

The production is directed by associate professor Sara Schoch, head of the BFA Musical Theatre program. Scenic design is by Constance R. Smith with assistant design and scenic charge artist by UWF student Elise Klein. Costume design is by student Annalesse Fraser, and lighting design is by student Drew McCrary. Senior Annaleese Fraser shares, “I am so thankful for the opportunity to design such a fun musical! This show features a lot of moving pieces and silly moments, and I am beyond excited to see it all come together!”

General admission tickets are $22 for adults, $18 for senior citizens and active military, $16 for non-UWF students and UWF faculty and staff, and $9 for children and high school students.
