UWF Notice: Tropical Storm Laura and Tropical Depression #14

University officials are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Laura and Tropical Depression #14. The University of West Florida remains operational at this time. If conditions change, the University will update the campus community.

According to the most recent update from the National Weather Service:

  • Tropical Storm Laura is expected to enter the eastern Gulf of Mexico early next week. There remains uncertainty on the track and intensity of this system.
  • Tropical Depression #14 is expected to enter the Southern Gulf of Mexico, between Louisiana and Texas, early next week. There remains uncertainty on the track and intensity of this system.

University officials encourage students, faculty and staff to learn more about storm preparedness at uwf.edu/uwfstorm and uwf.edu/weatherfaq. In the event of an emergency, please contact the UWF Police Department at 850.474.2415 or 911.
