UWF Notice: Tropical Storm Cristobal

University officials are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Cristobal, which is currently a tropical storm heading toward the Gulf of Mexico. The University of West Florida remains operational at this time. If conditions change, the University will update the campus community.

According to the most recent update from the National Weather Service, the path of Tropical Storm Cristobal is expected to move north and forecast to make landfall along the northern Gulf Coast Sunday afternoon or evening. Tropical Storm warnings are in effect from Louisiana to Northwest Florida. Heavy rainfall is possible late Saturday night through early Monday morning, with a projected 3-4 inches of rainfall and coastal/localized flooding in the Pensacola area.
