UWF Executive Mentor Program and Pen Air to host Financial Bootcamp

The University of West Florida College of Business Executive Mentor Program will partner with Pen Air Federal Credit Union to present the Spring 2017 Financial Bootcamp on Wednesday, April 12, in the UWF Conference Center, Ballroom A and B, on the UWF Pensacola campus.

The free financial education event is open to the public to register and will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Steve O’Reilly, Certified Financial Planner® and assistant vice president of Pen Air Asset Management, will present “5 Smart Investing Principles.” John Heckmann, finance and investments manager, will present “Basics of Savings.”

The schedule of the events is:

  • 11 a.m.: Lunch (free to the first 70 registered participants, RSVP required)
  • 11:30 a.m.: Presentations

“At Pen Air, helping you make informed, educated decisions about managing and investing your money is a top priority,” said Stu Ramsey, President/CEO of Pen Air. “It is our community responsibility to build a solid foundation for financial independence. We are excited to partner with UWF to help the students understand their finances and set attainable goals for their future.”

The boot camp, designed for students, is held semiannually and invites financial professionals to present guest lectures about financial literacy, personal finance and preparing for post-graduate life.
