Healthier UWF: Planning for Fall 2021

While continuing to closely monitor public health conditions, the University is preparing to provide a full in-person experience for Argos this fall, including increased face-to-face learning and engagement opportunities. The promise of widespread inoculation against COVID-19, as well as your continued commitment to keeping our campus safer and healthier enables us to do so.

ACADEMICS

Most courses designed for in-person delivery are expected to be delivered face-to-face. However, some courses may continue making use of hybrid modes of delivery. We will also offer a robust online learning program, as we did before COVID-19.

HEALTH, WELLNESS AND PREVENTION

A full return in the fall means that capacity restrictions will be lifted and most courses will be on campus. However, we expect that our other health measures—such as wearing face coverings, extra hand washing and increased cleaning—will continue. It remains critical that we work together and assume individual responsibility to protect our own health, as well as the health of others.

EMPLOYEES

Although most employees will return to campus, based on what we have learned from our experience during the pandemic, some employees may be allowed to continue to work remotely part- or full-time. Additional details on processes and protocols will be provided to faculty and staff in the coming weeks.

As we have throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the University will maintain our focus on the health and safety of our campus community and adapt as necessary based on public health guidance.
