Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola and UWF College of Business name 2014 Ethics in Business Award recipients

The Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola and the University of West Florida College of Business, named the 2014 recipients of the Ethics in Business Award today during a luncheon at New World Landing in downtown Pensacola. Ted Kirchharr was given the award for the large business sector (50 or more employees), while Andrea Krieger was given the award for the small business sector (49 or fewer employees).

“In a community with many great leaders, the UWF College of Business and the Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola are delighted to honor two exceptional leaders who exemplify the high ethical standards and passionate commitment to our community that are critical to individual and community development,” said Dr. Ed Ranelli, dean emeritus of the UWF College of Business. “Ted Kirchharr and Andrea Krieger are servant leaders and an inspiration to all of us.”

Kirchharr currently serves as vice president and chief operating officer of Landrum Professional and Landrum Consulting, where he is responsible for strategic planning, benefits administration, risk management, human resources and marketing. He has helped hundreds of organizations pursue strategic planning, institute quality management, hone organizational development, instill leadership training and improve employee engagement. Additionally, he serves as the district governor for Rotary District 6490 and is past president of the Florida Sterling Council.

Krieger is the CEO/president of United Way of Escambia County, where she provides innovative and strategic leadership in collaboration with the Board of Directors, donors, community and corporate leaders, community partners, staff and volunteers to identify, understand and act on the issues that enable the organization to accomplish its mission and vision. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Krieger is also committed to giving back to the community by serving on the boards of Central Credit Union, Rotary Club of Pensacola, Better Business Bureau and West Florida Hospital’s Women’s Advisory Council.

The award is given to recognize those who exemplify the concept of “service above self” and work to build a positive sense of self-worth within both the business community and the broader community as a whole. Criteria for the award is based on adherence to the high ethical standards of honesty, integrity and consistency in dealing with employees, contractors and customers, while positively enhancing the economic well-being of the firm’s stakeholders and providing jobs, opportunities and profits.
