Column: Since Great Recession, Pensacola has lagged in new business births

In a new column, Haas Center Economic Development Coordinator Allison Tyler Romer looks at post-recession new business starts—or “births”—in communities throughout the country. Romer finds relatively few new business births in the years following the Great Recession of 2007–09—particularly in the Pensacola area.
