UWF School of Education online course receives Quality Matters recognition

Stacie Whinnery's fully online course, EEX4255 – Curriculum for Teaching Students with Exceptionalities, was reviewed and recognized by an external Quality Matters (QM) Peer Review Team as having met quality expectations in online course design. In order to meet Quality Matters review expectations, courses must receive a minimum of 85 percent of the total possible points. Whinnery's course met standards by 100%! Online courses that receive this distinction are listed in the Quality Matters national database of QM Recognized Courses.

Whinnery is a Professor in the School of Education in the area of Special Education. She has been teaching online classes since fall 2004 at UWF. Additionally, she has developed and taught non-credit online courses related to programming for individuals with severe disabilities that have been delivered worldwide.
