UWF Historic Trust to host haunted house walking and trolley tours

The University of West Florida Historic Trust will host its 25th annual haunted house walking and trolley tours in Historic Pensacola this October. Guests may choose from four walking tour routes: the Ghastly Ghosts of North Seville, Murder and Mayhem, Red-Light or the Tragedy and Terror of South Seville. This year, in honor of the milestone anniversary, the Trust is also offering Pedal Trolley tours for one-night-only on Oct. 24.

The walking tours depart every 30 minutes, between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 16, 17, 23, 24 and 30. The tours are led by volunteer ghostly guides, last an hour and 15 minutes, and take place outside. Participants will not enter any of the buildings as part of the tour.

For those looking to enjoy the ghostly tours from a different perspective, the Trust offers two trolley tours. The Trolley of the Doomed tour is offered on Oct. 17, 23, 24 and 30 at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Children are welcome. The Tragedy and Terror Pedal Trolley tour, offered only on Oct. 24 at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., allows participants to pedal their way through Historic Pensacola’s ghost town. The pedal trolley is limited to 14 participants per tour. Riders must remain on the trolley throughout both of these tours.

Ticket pricing is as follows:

• Walking tours: $15 for adults, $8 for children 12 and younger
• Trolley of the Doomed tour: $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and younger
• Tragedy and Terror Pedal Trolley tour: $45 per person.

A 10 percent group discount is available for groups of 10 or more on all tours except the pedal trolley.

All tours depart from Voices of Pensacola presented by Gulf Power, located at 117 E. Government St. Tickets are available at historicpensacola.org or on tour nights at Voices of Pensacola presented by Gulf Power. For more information, contact Wendi Davis at 850.595.5985 ext. 111 or wdavis4@uwf.edu
