UWF Historic Trust hosts “Goodnight Pensacola” book reading and signing for Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play

The University of West Florida Historic Trust has partnered with Nickelodeon to encourage children to get up, get out and go play on Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play set for Sept. 26. Worldwide Day of Play is a day each year during which Nickelodeon goes completely dark for three hours, taking programming off the air on all of its channels and shutting down its website to support community events that promote active play and healthy lifestyles.

As one of Nickelodeon’s anticipated 4,000 official Nickelodeon Worldwide Day of Play events, the University of West Florida Historic Trust will host a book reading and signing at its Pensacola Children’s Museum. Local author Anna Whibbs Theriault will read from her book, “Goodnight Pensacola,” from 10:30 to 11 a.m. “Goodnight Pensacola” is an illustrated bedtime story for both locals and visitors that showcases landmarks of the beautiful city of Pensacola, Florida. The reading will be followed by a book signing from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Books can be purchased in advance or at the event.
