UWF Department of Music presents spring chamber music recitals

The University of West Florida Department of Music will present an afternoon of chamber music on Wednesday, Feb. 1, March 1 and April 5 at noon at Old Christ Church in historic Pensacola at 405 South Adams St.

Every performance in the series is free and open to the public with no tickets required. Music lovers of all ages are welcome.

Wednesday, Feb. 1: Noon – “Happy Valentine”

Members of the Chamber Music Class dive into the spring semester with a musical celebration of love, fun and happiness. The concert will feature a wide variety of instruments and vocalists. They will perform opera arias and duets, trios and quartets.

The program will include music written by Bach, Haydn, Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin and others.

Wednesday, March 1Noon – “Baroque and Beyond”

Members of the UWF Chamber Music Class will perform well-known songs, arias, duets and chamber music pieces by mostly Baroque composers. There will be musical twists and surprises to enjoy from the musicians.

Wednesday, April 5Noon – “Spring is Here”

The final concert of the semester is filled with beautiful chamber music. The young and talented musicians of the class will present their final performance of the spring semester, showcasing the exciting repertoire they mastered during the term.
