UWF Department of Music presents Spring 2018 chamber music recitals

The University of West Florida Department of Music will present an afternoon of chamber music on Wednesday, Feb. 7, Mar. 7, and Apr. 4 at noon at Old Christ Church in Historic Pensacola at 405 South Adams St.

Wednesday, Feb. 7: Noon – “Love is in the Air and Music”

Members of the Chamber Music class will perform a wide variety of chamber music repertoire featuring many different instruments and groups. They will play pieces written for piano, harpsichord, flute, viola, French horn and marimba. The program will also include vocal duets and arias.

Wednesday, Mar. 7: Noon

The Chamber Music class presents a program of works by Bach, Handel, Strauss, Brahms and more. A variety of pieces for voice, piano, harpsichord, flute and percussion will be performed.

Wednesday, Apr. 4: Noon

The Chamber Music class celebrates the spring season with merry melodies by Handel, Mozart, Verdi, Grieg, Chopin and Liszt. The program also includes traditional spirituals and South American percussion music.
