UWF College of Business Executive Mentor Program to host speaker on engaging the Latino market

The University of West Florida College of Business Executive Mentor Program, in partnership with the UWF American Marketing Association, will host speaker Grace Resendez McCaffery in a session titled “The Importance of the Hispanic Market in Pensacola and How to Reach and Engage with Latinos.” The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the UWF College of Business, Building 76A, Room 101.

Resendez McCaffery serves as president of Latino Media Gulf Coast, Inc. and founded La Costa Latina, a Spanish-English bi-weekly newspaper. She is the newspaper’s publisher, editor and website content manager, and she expanded the company’s reach to include community sponsorship of cultural events. These efforts have unified and elevated the identity of the Latino community in the Gulf Coast.

Since 2005, Resendez McCaffery has led the Latino Festival in Pensacola, the largest Latino event in the Gulf Coast region. She is also the founder of the Hispanic Resource Center, a virtual hub for the public to obtain information about resources for services, language interpretations, classes, employment, books and more. Her initiatives continue to satisfy diverse interests throughout Northwest Florida and Southeast Alabama.
