University of West Florida awards students, faculty at Honors Convocation

PENSACOLA, Fla.– The University of West Florida hosted the annual Honors Convocation awards ceremony for students and faculty members, March 30. Winners include faculty members who have demonstrated superior teaching, research or leadership qualities and are chosen based on nominations and evaluations. Student winners demonstrate leadership, positive impact or excellent grades.

Awards for students include the Outstanding Student Award for College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business and College of Professional Studies; Outstanding Scholar Athletes, Outstanding Master’s Thesis, Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges & Universities; Voyages; John C. Pace Scholars and the Hal Crosby Award.

Awards for faculty members include Faculty Excellence in Teaching or Advising; Distinguished University Professorship; Distinguished Teaching; Distinguished Faculty Research & Creative Activities and the President’s Award for Leadership in Diversity.
