Pensacola Museum of Art to host 64th annual Youth Art Focus

The Pensacola Museum of Art, in partnership with Escambia County School District and the PMA Guild, presents the 64th annual “Youth Art Focus” in recognition of National Youth Art Month. This exhibition is on view now through Feb. 18, in the Kugelman Family and Henderson Thornton galleries. The exhibition will highlight art students and art educators of Escambia County schools and serves as a celebration of the strong artistic achievements of K-12 students and their teachers. The opening reception for secondary educators and students will take place Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the opening reception for elementary teachers and students will take place Thursday, Jan. 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

“The 64th annual ‘Youth Art Focus’ is an opportunity to immerse students in the fine art world, while giving our community a look into Escambia County’s thriving art education programs,” said Amy Bowman-McElhone, director of the museum.  “It is a cornerstone of the PMA’s annual exhibition schedule.”

Located at 407 S. Jefferson St. in historic downtown Pensacola, the Pensacola Museum of Art is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. For more information about the Pensacola Museum of Art, call 850.432.6247 or visit pensacolamuseum.org.
