Total Enrollment
- Total Enrollment: 12,021, an increase of 2.7%
- Undergraduate: 9,625, 3.7% increase
- Graduate: 1,759, 2.9% increase
New Freshmen
- Applications: 5,629, an increase of 20%
- Enrolled: 1,463, an increase of 17%
- In state: 1,343
- Out of state: 120, 36% increase
- 34% of class ethnically diverse, a 9 percent increase
- Average high school grade point average: 3.48
- Average SAT: 1,007
- Average ACT: 22.75, higher than state of Florida average of 19
Housing & Residence Life
- On-campus housing at 97 percent occupancy (1,807); expected this to increase to 100 percent, with 1,865 students living on campus
- 112 new parking spaces added since spring
- Goal of 30 percent of students living and learning on campus, a total of 3,600 students
- Added one new trolley this year, which will decrease wait times by about seven minutes (three trolleys total on campus)
New Transfers
- Applications: 2,906, a 9 percent increase
- Enrolled: 1,258, a 5 percent increase
Retention
- 75 percent of first-time-in-college (FTIC) students from Fall 2010 returned for Fall 2011
