Call for Nominations for the Combined Rotary of Pensacola Ethics in Business Award

The University of West Florida College of Business, in partnership with the Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola, is now accepting nominations for the Combined Rotary of Pensacola Ethics in Business Award.

“This award recognizes business leaders who adhere to high ethical standards in their business practices reflected in the Rotary Four-Way Test,” said Dr. Ed Ranelli, Dean of the UWF College of Business.

Criteria for the award is based on adherence to the high ethical standards of honesty, integrity and consistency in dealing with employees, contractors and customers, while positively enhancing the economic well-being of the firm’s stakeholders and providing jobs, opportunities and profits.

Additional criteria is based on participation in activities that are beneficial to the community beyond the provision of economic benefits and service as a leader or innovator in the firm’s business sector.

This award will be given Spring 2013 to one individual from the small business sector (less than 100 employees) and one individual from the large business sector (greater than 100 employees) to recognize those who exemplify the concept of “service above self” and who work to build a positive sense of worth within both the business community and the broader community as a whole. Last year’s award winners, Quint and Rishy Studer (greater than 100 employees) and Chris Jones (99 or fewer employees) will speak at the May 6, 2013 awards ceremony from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at New World Landing.

Nominations must be received by April 1, 2013. Applications can be picked up at any Pensacola area Rotary Club or download the application at http://uwf.edu/cob/pdf/forms/ethics-app2013.pdf.
