University of West Florida |

ThisĀ Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19 – 20, the University of West Florida Mock Trial Team will host the second annual UWF Argo Invitational sponsored by Stetson University College of Law. The invitational tournament consists of a scrimmage and will require each mock trial team to compete in four trial rounds that will be judged by local attorneys and judges.

In addition to the two teams from UWF, the attendees will also include teams from the University of Florida, Auburn University, Kennesaw State University, the University of North Alabama, and Georgia Tech. The competition will be held in buildings 85 and 71 and in the UWF Mock Trial Classroom on the UWF main campus.

The UWF Mock Trial Team is part of the American Mock Trial Association, a national organization that has sponsored mock trial competitions at the undergraduate level for 25 years. The UWF team was formed at UWF in 2001, and has competed in regional and national competitions, earning numerous team and individual awards over the years. The team currently has 15 student members, many of whom are seeking degrees in legal studies and pre-law.
