Closed circuit TVs will display campus news & events

University Communications and External Relations (UCER) now manages the Welcome Sign marquee at the front entrance of UWF and its content. In addition, UCER will manage the content on 10 closed circuit televisions (CCTV), to be installed in mid-April in high traffic areas around campus.

The CCTVs will feature a mix of targeted advertising, calendar events, weather updates and top stories and headlines from UWF’s online newsroom. The CCTVs will be installed in 10 key areas on campus, including two each in Admissions, the Commons and HLS. One screen each will be installed in the Library, Main Dining Room, Bookstore and the Welcome Center.

The CCTVs are at no cost to UWF. Maintenance and operation of the CCTVs will be conducted by Electronic Display Networks (EDN), except for UWF’s message, which will be managed by University Communications.

To ensure accurate information is received and conveyed properly on campus and to the public, UCER now has a Signage Submission Form to be filled out before a story or event will be considered for inclusion on one of the university signs. The form is found at http://uwf.edu/communications/internal/signage/.

Please be sure to add it to your favorites list, or visit my.uwf.edu and search for “Signage Request Form.” Additionally, Signage Guidelines and Policies have been created to monitor the content for all university signage (welcome center, CCTVs and the pending digital billboard sign at the east entrance).

These guidelines may be found on the communications department pages at http://uwf.edu/communications/UWF_Signage.cfm. For questions on signage submissions, guidelines and postings, please email Lauren Haggett at lhaggett@uwf.edu.
